This dish is best made with The Net Gourmet’s original home made Teriyaki sauce. You probably have the ingredients on hand. Give it a try. To make this dish a little healthier, we typically remove the skin from the thighs before cooking, but that is totally up to you.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup The Net Gourmet Teriyaki sauce
- 8 Bone in chicken thighs or drumsticks, skin removed
- 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
Directions: Preheat oven broiler
Place the chickens in a large bowl and pour the teriyaki sauce over them. Toss them around a little to coat well, and refrigerate at least 30 minutes and up to 3 hours.
Place chickens on a broiler pan skin side down. Broil until undersides are brown and crispy, about 10 minutes. Turn over and broil another 8 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle sesame seeds and return under broiler for another 1-2 minutes.
Option for Extra Sticky:
You can toss the marinate, but if you would like the chickens “extra sticky”, when the chicken is cooking, put the marinate in a small sauce pan and boil it down so it’s nice and thick. Then, before you cook the chicken for the last 2 minutes, spoon a tablespoon of sauce on each, sprinkle with the sesame seeds, and then broil just until it’s bubbly.
+++++Do not skip the boiling step. This marinate had raw chicken in it and must be cooked prior to using.+++++
