Chicken fingers are for the kids, right?
Wrong.
There’s no reason grown ups shouldn’t enjoy crispy chicken fingers. The problem is we typically associate them with fast food or hard as a rock, frozen bites out of a bag.
But, it’s one thing making your own chicken fingers, (The Net Gourmet has a great recipe). The other requirement is to have some “grown up” dips for them.
We’ve put together three easy dips for your chicken fingers… and they’re also great with french fries.
Rosemary Ketchup
Pour one cup of ketchup into a microwave dish. Add one sprig of fresh rosemary and microwave for one minute. Cool in refrigerator for at least an hour. Stir once or twice.
Honey Mustard SauceĀ
In a small bowl, combine 1/3 cup of Dijon mustard and 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise until smooth. Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey. Chill and serve.
Maple Ketchup
Add 2 tablespoons of real maple syrup to 1/2 cup of ketchup. Stir to combine. Chill and serve.
All three of these sauces are simple and delicious. Plus they are all a nice twist from “out of the bottle” sauces.
