Cantaloupe Wrapped in Prosciutto

We’ve said in earlier posts, wrap any thing with bacon or prosciutto and you typically can’t go wrong. Bacon doesn’t work in this case because you want to keep the melon cool and crisp, so Prosciutto is the go to here.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large ripe cantaloupe
  • Very thinly sliced prosciutto ham
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Directions:

Cut the melon in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Then cut into quarters and cut off the rind. You can either cut into long thin pieces, or in thinker ones that you cut in half (like we did in the image at the top of the page).

Wrap each piece with a slice of prosciutto and place on a serving dish. If desired, drizzle with some balsamic glaze.
