Quick Garlic Brocolli with Parmesan

This is a quick and easy substitute for the standard steamed broccoli.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Crowns of broccoli (approx 1 pound)
  • 2 Wedges lemon
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 Cloves garlic chopped or mashed
  • 2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • S&P to taste

Directions:

Cut the broccoli into serving sized pieces Steam broccoli for about 5 minutes or until cooked but still crisp.

While broccoli is steaming, heat a sauté pan and add the oil and the garlic just until fragrant. Do not brown the garlic.

When broccoli is finished steaming, toss into the pan with the garlic oil top with the just from the lemon and some S&P. Toss in the pan until all the broccoli is coated.

Top with the Parmesan cheese and pop under the oven broiler for 20 or 30 seconds. You just want to toast the cheese, not cook it. (This was not done in our image and is not necessary)

Slide onto a platter and serve.
