If you have ever used a boullion cube when you have been in a pinch, you know not to use any other salt in the dish. Even then, your dish might be too salty.
I very seldom buy boxed chicken stock because it’s so easy to make it yourself. But occasionally I just run out of it. Using bullion cubes is not an option. So I gave this “Better Then Bullion” a try. Mix 1 teaspoon in a cup of hot water and use it just like stock or broth.
It is really hard to believe it’s so good.
I used it in The Net Gourmet’s veal stew recipe. It was just as good as using my home made broth. No kidding!
This is actually making me rethink my “use home made stock” position.
