Avocado “Ranch” Sauce Instead of Sour Cream

The other day, I noticed the avocado I had was getting awful soft. It was way past the point where we could slice it for a sandwich. The only thing I could think of doing with is is making a sauce for chili or tacos. As is turns out, I’ll be using this instead or sour cream for a lot of recipes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Ripe avocado
  • 1/4 Cup chopped chives
  • Juice of 1 Lime
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 1 Tablespoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Put one tablespoon white vinegar into a 1 cup container. The add milk to the one cup line (you just made home made buttermilk).

Add buttermilk, chives, lime juice and avocado to a food processor. Pulse until very smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Use instead of sour cream on fish tacos or any kind of taco. Also great to top chili and even baked potatoes.
