Sometimes Simple is Better. A Simple Salad Dressing

The title says it all. In my opinion, we ruin great fresh salads by pouring on thick dressings that are more like dips than dressings.

Try this simple dressing to really dress up your salad.

Ingredients:

  • 6 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Garlic clove, smashed
  • 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions:

Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl or shake them vigorously in a cruet. Pour over salad and toss to coat evenly. It’s important to toss the salad with the dressing.

If you are really feeling wild… add a pinch (less than 1/4 teaspoon) of fresh thyme, oregano, chopped basil, rosemary or any other herb.
